80-year-old man who went missing for 4 days reunited with family

An elderly man who went missing four days ago has been reunited with his family today.

Lam Hak-kan, 80, was found at Tai Hang Tung Recreation Ground in Sham Shui Po at around 9am today, Apple Daily reports. He was not injured and has been sent to a medical centre.

Police said in a statement that they detected no suspicious circumstances.

A manhunt was launched for Lam after he left his nursing home in Cheung Sha Wan on Monday afternoon.

He was found unharmed roughly 66 hours later. His daughter thanked police for their help and members of the public who spread the word about Lam’s disappearance over the week.

Lam was reportedly diagnosed with mild brain degeneration around six months ago and was admitted to a nursing home last month.
