68-year-old man smashes through glass door as bus turns corner in Kowloon Bay

A 68-year-old man has been hospitalised after he smashed through one of the glass doors of a KMB bus at approximately 2pm today.

The man, surnamed Chan, had reportedly been standing in front of the doors, about to disembark, but was holding too many things, leaving him unable to keep his balance when the bus took a left turn on Muk On Street.

Oriental Daily reports that the bus driver didn’t realise Chan had smashed through the door and continued driving for approximately 10 metres before other passengers informed him of what happened.

Chan reportedly suffered heavy injuries to his head and was unconscious when emergency services arrived. He was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

A fellow passenger told Oriental Daily that the bus was not travelling at “high speed” and that male passengers should “hold on tight to things” to avoid such incidents. You heard it here first, fellas.

Police are currently investigating the case.
