4th Paralympic Games medal for Hong Kong as Yu Chui-yee wins silver in wheelchair fencing

Wheelchair fencer Yu Chui-yee has won a silver medal in the women’s individual foil (Category A) event, making it the fourth medal the Hong Kong delegation has won at the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio.

Yu has a total of seven gold medals under her belt from previous Paralympic games. She hadn’t been beaten in 12 years, which is mindblowingly impressive to us, considering our only knowledge of swordsmanship comes from Game of Thrones (“Stick them with the pointy end.”).

On Sunday, Tang Wai-lok and Ng Mui-wui won a gold and bronze medal in swimming and table tennis, respectively, while Chan Yui-chong won a bronze medal in a separate wheelchair fencing event on Tuesday.

At this rate, they’re going to have to pay for extra baggage on their flights home with all that bling.
