4 women wounded in Sham Shui Po knife attack, motive still unknown

Four women have been hospitalized following a knife attack in Sham Shui Po this morning that has left authorities scratching their heads as to a possible motive.

According to on.cc, the incident happened at about 10:10am on Garden Hill. Three of the victims were apparently together when they were wounded by the mysterious assailant, while the fourth was reportedly injured as the man fled the scene.

Video posted by the outlet shows firefighters and paramedics carrying the women down the hill on stretchers and in wheelchairs.

The four women were all in their 50s, and were taken to the Queen Elizabeth and Princess Margaret hospitals with knife wounds to their backs and chests.

As of this afternoon, two of the women had been transferred to Prince of Wales Hospital in critical condition, while the other two remain at Queen Elizabeth in serious condition.

Officers at the scene said nothing was stolen during the assaults, and a motive is not yet known.

According to RTHK, police are looking for a man of medium build, about 1.6 meters-tall, last seen wearing trousers and a T-shirt.
