Tim Burton’s exhibition is coming to Hong Kong this November!

Calling all goths and emo kids of Hong Kong, both past and present: Tim Burton’s exhibition is coming to Hong Kong this autumn!

Rather straightforwardly entitled “The World of Tim Burton”, it will showcase over 500 drawings, photographs, puppets, sculptures, and music videos made by the director – some of which date back to Burton’s childhood.

Following a successful debut at New York’s Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in 2009, “The World of Tim Burton” has toured international cities like Melbourne, Los Angeles, Paris, Seoul, Prague, and Tokyo.

It has been stationed at the Lafayette Arts and Design in Shanghai since June, where organisers say 150 new works, including some of Burton’s quirky napkin drawings, were shown for the first time.

The prolific artist, writer, and director is best known for his dark and quirky style, perhaps most evident in films such as Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Corpse Bride, and Frankenweenie… and shops such as Hot Topic.
