Harry Styles to perform first solo show in Hong Kong next May

Former teen heartthrob (and, let’s face it, current adult heartthrob) Harry Styles, is due make his solo Hong Kong debut… but don’t hold your breath, as it’s not scheduled to happen until next May.

Styles, 23, who made his name as part of five-piece boyband phenomenon One Direction — and to a lesser degree as the erstwhile boyfriend of Taylor Swift — will perform at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai on May 5, 2018. Dreamy art rock band Warpaint will be supporting.

Tickets (all seated) range from HKD488 to HKD1,288 and go on sale on all HK Ticketing channels (i.e. online, phone, and physical box office) at 10am this Friday.

Styles’ announced his world tour in April and extended it last week by 56 dates due to high demand, including stops in Coconuts cities Bangkok, Singapore, and Manila. The 23-year-old Brit is touring to promote his self-titled solo album, which has spawned the hit lead single “Sign of the Times”.

Released on May 10, the album has drawn favorable reviews from critics, who have praised Styles’ move towards a more mature, rock-oriented sound. Check it out:
