British R&B crooner Craig David will be bringing his live music event TS5 to Hong Kong for the very first time, at Play in Central, plus a couple of venues in Southeast Asia, from mid- to late February.

TS5 is David’s event series, named after his Miami penthouse apartment, which grew from a house party with 10 people to a live show that has played to crowds in the beloved London hipster hive that’s Brixton Academy, and even at Glastonbury, where David performed a set to a crowd of 25,000 people.

You remember David. Dude was a mega-star in the early aughts, and his most well-known songs Fill Me In7 DaysWalking Away, and What’s Your Flava? still get some love on the radio these days.

The singer-songwriter and producer made the announcement on his social media accounts yesterday, and also confirmed that he would be performing at Coconuts HK‘s sister cities Singapore and Bali, at Zouk Singapore and Omnia Bali, respectively.

David made his breakthrough when he provided the vocals for the song Re-Rewind (The Crowd Say Bo Selecta) by English garage group Artful Dodger in 1999. Following that, he came out with the slew of hits mentioned above, and became the UK’s most commercially successful R&B musician to date.

With each TS5 show, David sings, MCs, and DJs during these sets, combining old school anthems from R&B to Swing beat, and from Garage to Basement, to chart-topping House hits.

Tickets for the show are on sale now via Ticketflap for HK$390 (early bird), HK$490 (advance), and HK$590 (at the door).

We leave you now with one of his earliest hits, 7 Days. Try not to dance.
