Aaand the countdown to this year’s Clockenflap begins… now. Trip-hop giants Massive Attack, indie pop/rock singer Feist, Danish electropop artist MØ and more have been confirmed to perform in the festival’s first batch of lineup announcements.

Clockenflap made the long-awaited announcement at 3pm today, listing local and international acts such as American garage-rockers The Dandy Warhols, Norwegian DJ Cashmere Cat, Korean alt-R&B singer Dean, and Hong Kong folk pop duo per se, amongst others.

While the “strictly limited fan fare” tickets are no longer being sold, early bird tickets are still available here starting from HKD820 for adults/HKD570 for students for day passes and HKD1,410/HKD1,080 for weekend passes. Prices will only go up in the coming weeks and months, so if you’re already keen on the acts listed so far, we’d suggest acting quick and snapping up a ticket (or three) before they get too pricey.

This year, Clockenflap will be held at the Central Harbourfront Event Space again, after moving from its longtime venue, the West Kowloon Cultural District, last year. Many details are still to be confirmed, but based on our experiences in previous years, we’re expecting smashing music, cool art installations and activities, and food from a wide range of local restaurants. Let’s just hope the heavens don’t open again and drench the entire crowd again like last year — if there’s one thing we don’t admire in British festival culture, it’s the mud.
