Mango rice pudding, Iberico ham and chicken biryani. These are just some of the tasty dishes to enjoy at Taste of Hong Kong, the city’s premier food festival which opens today.

The four-day event, which officially opens its doors to the public at 6pm today, will be serving up miniature bites from some of the city’s best-known restaurants from trendy neighbourhood eateries like Little Bao and Chachawan to Michelin-star marvels like Bo Innovation, Caprice, and Duddell’s.

Starting from HK$50 each, 20 restaurants will be dishing out some of their signature favorites and at least one never-before-seen dish exclusive to Taste of Hong Kong.

There will also be two overseas visiting restaurants, a multi-sensory whisky tasting, one-off cocktail collaborations, 10 pop-up bars, live music and kids’ activities.

With so much food on offer and so little time to sample them all, it might seem difficult to figure out which foods to try. So to help you out, we have compiled a list of the some of the best stalls and foods to check out and listed them below.

Go nuts.

  • Moutai braised beef cheek, Sichuan peppercorn (One Harbour Road)
  • XO Sauce Tomago (Okra)
  • Pork belly bao (Little Bao)
  • Spicy fried tofu temaki with yuzu and soy sauce pearls (Zuma)
  • Katmandu meatball mo’s (BlackSalt)
  • Papaya salad (Chachawan)
  • ‘The Duddelldog’ — a pork frankfurther topped with sweet n sour pork, pineapple and peppers (collaboration between Duddell’s, and duo Sandia Chang and James Knappett.)
