Can you imagine spending an hour, maybe even two, without checking your phone!? THE HORROR!
For those courageous souls who feel mentally strong enough to give it a go, Fatty Crab (11 Old Bailey Street, Central), is where your valour will be rewarded.
Dubbed “Social Network Tuesdays”, taking place after 5pm every Tuesday (uh, duh), the event will see diners receive a 10 percent discount on their bar tab if they don’t check their phones/computers/tablets/MP3 players/pagers/potatoes for an hour.
This can go on for up to five hours, with a maximum of 50 percent off. That’s a whole half for those trying not to use their phone calculators.
Once you reach the four-hour mark, you probably won’t be able to operate all that technology anyway. Nothing like eye-fuzz to stop you drunk texting.
Hopefully you’ll also be happy and actually social – which is kind of the point.
