Step up your brunch game at ‘Biiitch’, Hong Kong’s very own weekend dragstravaganza

Brunch is basically a national sport here in Hong Kong, but like most things that are in high demand, everyone’s jumped on the bandwagon and straight up oversaturated the market (also see: speakeasies).

And yes, we know Hong Kong’s not a nation, but SAR-ional doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue/keys.

In recent months, we’ve seen more and more establishments try to set themselves apart from the regular buffet-and-booze deals, with La Vache’s Disco Brunch and Zuma’s confusing but apparently enjoyable “Night Brunch”, but the most impressive and individual attempt we’ve seen to date is “Biiitch”, a.k.a. Hong Kong’s one and only drag brunch.

Yeah, you read that right — drag. Following a very successful debut last month, this weekend dragstravaganza will return to LKF stalwart and solid brunch choice Lily & Bloom on Sunday. The popular Central restaurant will be spiced up by the presence of not one, but three fabulous-as-fuck drag queens, dressed to the nines in their full regalia and ready to snark.

Hosting the event is the venerable, wisecracking Madame Mincemeat (who does not mince her words), celeb makeup artist and pageant babe Miss Midlevels, and entertainment queen/pole-dancing extraordinaire XXXotica.

Obviously, food matters too — Lily’s classic all-American buffet will be available with eggs in literally every which way, an omelette station, seafood bar and regular charcuterie offerings. Free flow booze (Bloody Marys, Bellinis, Pimms) is also available.

Of the two available sittings — 11am and 1:30pm — we’ve heard the later slot is fully booked, so book fast!
