Let the guilt-free booze flow with Hong Kong’s ‘Drink for Good’ campaign

If you’ve ever felt guilty about that after-work drink before the weekend, HandsOn Hong Kong is serving up the perfect solution.

On Thursday Oct. 8, more than 60 participating bars and restaurants have agreed to take part in “Drink for Good” and donate HKD5 from drinks purchased that night to HandsOn Hong Kong.

The funds raised will go towards helping kids with special needs, as well as other social programmes in Hong Kong.

The scheme has raised over HKD100,000 in the last two years; in 2013, the money enabled 100 disabled young people to visit Ocean Park, and last year wishes came true for 500 children with special needs.

Brands can sponsor a bar for the night for as little as HKD2,000, with plenty of slots still up for grabs. Get in contact here if you’re interested… otherwise just show up and drink.

Now you can get plastered and/or embark and shameless self-promotion with good reason.

What: HandsOn Hong Kong’s Annual “Drink for Good” Community Event
When: Thursday, Oct. 8
Where: Various food & beverage establishments (visit www.drinkforgood.org for full list)
