Hong Kong’s Elite Dining Experience: good food without breaking the bank

The weekend is upon us, and it is time to start thinking about what to eat tomorrow evening before Saturday rolls in.

Well next week you’re in luck, because Nov. 9 will kick off Elite Dining Week, a chance to sample some of the best food in Hong Kong without breaking the bank.

More than 30 restaurants – from Michelin-star Chinese food to six-course Italian meals – will present carefully crafted menus for the week.

The list of restaurants taking part in Elite Dining Week includes Seasons, Pierre, Mandarin Grill and Bar, Rech by Alain Ducasse, Gough’s on Gough, Gradini Ristorante Italiano, Sun Tung Lok Chinese Cuisine, Akrame, Nicholini’s, Golden Leaf, Brasserie on the Eighth, Chez Ed, Le Reve, MIC Kitchen, Dining at Murasaki, Bibo, The Ocean, Tri, G7 Private Dining, Tosca, Angelini, YUE, Kishoku, Cuisine Cuisine Tsim Sha Tsui, On Dining Kitchen & Lounge, Serge et Le Phoque and Upper Modern Bistro.

Dishes to watch out for include Angelini’s all-star Italian menu of four, five or six courses featuring Fassona beef tartare, homemade chitarra pasta and a selection of organic Italian cheeses; and an eight-course menu including roast suckling pig, Yoshihama dried abalone, Kyushu whole king prawn, and braised prime rib from the two-Michelin-starred Sun tong Lok Chinese Cuisine.

Guests can make reservations online through the DiningCity app, or via www.elitediningweek.com which goes live at 10am on Friday Nov. 3.

Cardmembers of Centurion® and the Platinum Card® issued by American Express in Hong Kong will receive priority booking from 10am on Oct. 30 to 10am on Nov. 2. There will also be welcome drinks for guests who book via these cards.
