Cannabis candy sold in Causeway Bay store

You’ve probably seen people partying these days sucking on a lolly pop, Marijuana candies have recently been popular with partygoers these days. After investigation, the police found that the marijuana candies were illegally imported and sold at a store in Ginza mall, Causeway Bay.

The police took action on the case a few days ago, sent an undercover cop disguised as a customer, and successfully bought several marijuana candies at HK$15 each. Law enforcement agencies found about HK$6,000 worth of marijuana candies and the storeowner was subsequently, arrested for the trading of drugs.

The shopkeeper confessed that the candies were imported from the Netherlands, where the use of marijuana is legalised and she was unaware it was illegal to sell the candies in Hong Kong.
