Souls of Hong Kong: Hania at the Kowloon Mosque and Islamic Centre

SOULS OF HONG KONG – Hania, an 11-year-old girl was photographed at the Kowloon Mosque and Islamic Centre in Tsim Sha Tsui. Hania goes to the mosque with her friends and family every week. She was a bit shy when we approached her, but her friends were very excited for her to be interviewed and photographed.

How is Hania enjoying the Christmas and New year holidays? “I need to study. I don’t want to but I have an exam right after the holiday.”

Souls of Hong Kong is a new Coconuts series of street portrait photography inspired by Brandon Stanton’s Humans of New York. Every human has a story to tell, and we intend to share some from the millions of souls who call Hong Kong home.
