Photos: Let there be lights! Yangon sparkles for Christmas

The holidays are coming, and lights are decorating businesses, churches and even City Hall in Yangon. We went around at night and captured some of the festive cheer.

ABC convenience store decked the halls, as did Gekko downtown. And course the city’s many churches, including St Anthony’s and Emmanuel.

Christmas is a public holiday in Myanmar. About 5 per cent of the 51 million population is Christian.
