It can be hard to articulate to an outsider just how desperate one can get having to spend hours, day in and day out, stuck in Bangkok’s nightmare-level traffic.
Fortunately, Coconuts Bangkok may have just found the video that best encapsulates the situation.
An unidentified woman was recently caught taking a leak, by straddling her taxi and the sidewalk during a red light in, what appears to be, the middle of Bangkok.
The clip, uploaded by Facebook user Faisal Abboudi on Wednesday, shows a woman abruptly opening her taxi door, popping a squat, and taking care of business smack in the middle of a busy street filled with honking car horns.
Abboudi, who was ostensibly filming the video from a tuk-tuk behind the cab, has yet to respond to our request for comment.
Though the uploader didn’t specify precisely where or when this took place, the skywalk in the background leads us to believe this is in either the central Siam or Asoke area. Either way, it’s very much the city center.
In just two days, the clip has received more than 1.4 million views and 8,000 comments.
“I permit you guys to shit and piss in my car. I have shame,” wrote one commenter whilst tagging a slew of friends.
“Nana style,” wrote another.
If that doesn’t tell you how bad Bangkok traffic (or how ‘lively’ the Nana area) truly is, we don’t know what does.
