A 21-year-old woman has demanded justice after she was allegedly sexually assaulted by a male hospital employee after she underwent surgery.
The victim, whose identity was withheld, said after she had an appendectomy from a local hospital in Angthong province on Nov. 9, the employee allegedly “groped her genitals with force” when he removed her from the operation bed.
The victim said she was conscious at the time and after the incident, she told a nurse who promised to make the alleged pervert apologize.
Two days after the victim had left the hospital, she still hadn’t received a response from the hospital. She called the nurse whom she previously had discussed the incident with, but the nurse said she could not do anything.
The victim filed a police report on Nov. 17.
“I don’t want anything but justice, and I want this case to be an example. I don’t want him to do this to anybody else. This happened in a hospital, too. I want those involved to take this seriously,” the victim said.
The suspect has been questioned over the assault, which he denies. Police will gather witnesses and investigate, Manager reported.
