A Phuket Rajabhat University student was hospitalized Sunday afternoon after a yet to be explained toilet mishap ended with a destroyed commode and the young woman with a five centimeter gash on her leg.

Signs such as this one are seen in public bathrooms across Southeast Asia. This accident is why the signs are needed.

At around 1pm on Sunday, Kusoldharm rescue workers received a report that a student at Phuket Rajabhat University had been involved in an accident in one of the facility’s toilets resulting in her sustaining a large cut to her leg.

Rescue workers arrived at the scene, inside the teacher’s toilets of Building 13, to find a student, named Ae, with a long wound on her leg, a completely destroyed toilet, and blood on the floor.

Rescue workers administered first aid before transferring Ae to a nearby hospital.

Rescue workers reported that there was a broken toilet lying on the floor along with several broken tiles.

A friend of A’s told rescue workers, “I think that she might have squatted or stood on the toilet and this caused the toilet to tip over.”
