Yesterday, police arrested three more suspects allegedly connected to the the murder of 16-year-old maid Jariya “Nam” Srisak in 2012.

Joining the main murder suspect, former beauty queen wannabe Krisana Suwanpitak, 45, are her brother, Pramote Suwanpitak, 43; Krisana’s 21-year-old niece Panatda Suwanphithak, who was 16 at the time of the incident; and Prathana Tuamsap, 35, Krisana’s personal assistant who she fingered for the crime after she recanted her confession last week, reported The Nation.

The new suspects were brought to Bangkok for questioning about their role in the crime, which allegedly ended five years ago with the body being buried on a Suwanpitak family property in Phetchaburi province.

According to Crime Suppression Division (CSD) acting chief Pol. Col. Maitri Chimcherd, all three confessed to assisting with hiding the body and helping Krisana conceal the crime but not to any actual role in the death, which allegedly occurred from injuries sustained from Krisana beating the victim violently with a can of air freshener.

Krisana was arrested earlier this month.

Police plan to charge the three with colluding to help others avoid punishmentม but the other charge they hoped to press on the trio, concealing and destroying a body, can’t be pressed since the 5-year statute of limitations expired in April of this year, reported Bangkok Post.
