Villagers and students from eight universities gathered to clean Rangsit canal, which was filled with water hyacinth and trash, in order to prevent future flooding.

Piti Bhirombhakdi, heir of Boon Rawd Brewer which produces Singha beer, posted a before and after picture of the Rangsit canal in Pathum Thani yesterday afternoon.

Led by his company’s volunteer team, called Singha-Arsa, and students from its network, they created a project to remove the overcrowding water hyacinth, one of many factors that cause flooding.

“Yesterday we cleaned out Rangsit canal. Students from eight universities joined the villagers and worked together… Here is the result,” wrote Piti.
