Thai man arrested for beating, robbing shopper in Bangkok mall bathroom

A 22-year-old thief was arrested yesterday afternoon for attacking and robbing a middle-aged man inside the restroom at The Mall Bangkapi — a brutal scene that was caught on film by a passerby.

In footage of the attack, Chuchart Kaewsiram can be seen violently hitting Nuttakarn Feungkajorn, 44, with a club of some kind, as Nuttakarn, who is on the floor, grabbing hold of Chuchart’s legs, screaming and begging him to stop.

“Help me! Help me … he took my bag!” Nuttakarn can be heard pleading.

Chuchart was restrained by the mall’s security guard and later arrested by police, who said he had stationed himself inside the men’s restroom on the third floor then attacked Nuttakarn when he came in to use the toilets.

According to Spring News, police said Nuttakarn was bleeding from his head and had wounds all over his body.

Nuttakarn confessed to the crime under interrogation, saying he recalled hitting Chuchart in the head roughly 10 times before running away with the man’s bag.

Nuttakarn has been charged with assault and theft.
