Prayuth wishes for reporters’ hearts for his birthday

Junta chief Prayuth Chan-ocha said this morning that for his 61st special day tomorrow, he only wants the press’ hearts and a bright future for Thailand.

In an appearance at the Government House to hand over awards to students who penned the most awesome “12 values” essays, the former general was serenaded by a troupe of reporters singing the happy birthday song and asking what he wished for.

“I want all of your hearts,” Prayuth said to the assembled press corps, thanking them for the song. “Please do anything you can for our country!”

Prayuth added he also wishes for Thailand’s bright future and eternal peace.

When reporters commented he look a lot older in the past year since becoming a prime minister, Prayuth said he tried to wipe his face regularly, Daily News reported.
