Police are hunting for a man caught on video stealing a donation box for a local hospital from the minimart at a PTT gas station, located on the grounds of Suvarnabhumi Airport. In this heist, he made off with about THB1,800 (US$50) on Sunday morning.

Janjira Tangkowit, 45, a manager at the minimart filed a complaint with Suvarnabhumi Airport Police on the same day. She shared with the police CCTV footage showing a 20-something man carefully putting a donation box in his backpack when no one was looking.

The donation box was placed at the minimart by Ramathibodi, a public university hospital which is raising funds to build a new medical institute and a learning center for its students.

Janjira said she opened the box and transferred the money to the hospital every month, and this was the first time a donation box was stolen from at the minimart, Morning News reported.
