A total of 104 bombs were discovered by a backhoe operator at a construction site on Rajvithi Road this afternoon and Explosive Ordnance Disposal officials (EOD) are still inspecting the scene.
The bombs are identified as BDU-33 versions, or non-explosive bombs that are used in training. They measured about 1.5 feet long each and were at least 45 years old.
Deputy Police Chief Srivara Ransibrahmanakul said that the bombs discovered today have nothing to do with the national security, Sanook reported.
No reporters or outsiders are permitted in the area until EOD officials collect the bombs for later disposal.
