No rejections, promises ‘All Thai Taxi’ service

Passengers will never be rejected by a new Bangkok taxi service announced today.

Bus service operator Nakhon Chai Air said starting in May, passengers can take advantage of its “All Thai Taxi” service by hailing or summoning a cab via smartphone or hotline 1624 for a THB20 fee. Every car is equipped with GPS for tracking and a credit card terminal for a hassle-free payment.

“We intend to develop a model taxi service and set a new standard for Thai taxis,” Anan Wongbenjarat, managing director of Nakhon Chai Air said. “We will provide convenience, safety and modernity to people.”

The drivers, trained by the company famous for dual-driver bus service, will receive salaries and commission. Female taxi drivers will also be available upon request.

THB700 million has been invested in the project, according to Nakhon Chai Air. In the first phase, 500 Toyota Hybrid Prius will hit the road in May. The smartphone application will be available for download in April, Post Today reported.
