At 10pm yesterday, economic crime suppression police announce the arrest of four Mongolian nationals who were accused of pickpocketing an American tourist at Wat Pho.
Police said that they captured the four suspects, aged 32 to 47, while they were shopping at Siam Paragon mall. They discovered six credit cards issued by American and Chinese banks, eight credit card sales slips and entrance tickets to Wat Pho on the alleged thieves.
The thieves admitted to their offense, saying that they had conducted such wrongdoings multiple times at famous tourist destinations including Wat Pho and the Grand Palace. According to Dailynews, they spent the stolen money on luxury products at leading malls across Bangkok.
