Democrat MP salutes Hitler on Thailand Parliament floor

Democrat MP Boonyod Sukthinthai caused quite a stir in Thailand’s Parliament on Tuesday when he yelled “Heil Hitler” several times and made the Nazi salute gesture.

Pheu Thai Party deputy spokesperson Sunisa Lertphakhawa called on Boonyod to resign over the incident today, The Nation reported.

Saksith Saiyasombut at Siam Voices reported that Boonyod was angry at being interrupted by House speaker Somsak Kiartsuranont, who wanted to end the session.

The Nation mistakenly referred to the gesture as the “Hi-Hitler salute.”
