Two bombs failed to explode after being thrown at the Criminal Court building this morning by masked assailants.
Traffic was snarled on Ratchadapisek Road as two lanes were closed following the attack.
No injuries or damage were reported.
At around 10:30am, two soldiers guarding the court’s entrance said they saw a pair, with both faces covered by a helmet and ski mask, ride up on a pink motorbike and throw two explosive devices into the parking lot.
One bomb dropped onto a footpath outside the court’s perimeter, and the other one landed in the parking lot. Both failed to explode.
The authorities closed down two traffic lanes and managed to disarm and remove the bombs within an hour, FM91 BKK reported.
