Two days have been flagged for the creation of a long, spending-heavy weekend in November to benefit the economy.

Nov. 19 and 20 have been proposed for the cabinet to consider at its meeting today, Tourism and Sports Minister Pipat Ratchakitprakan said this morning.

Eyeing a long weekend for December, he added that the Dec. 7 substitution holiday for Father’s Day could be postponed to Friday, Dec. 11, to create a holiday bridge between Constitution Day on Dec. 10 and the weekend.

Update: As expected, the cabinet approved all of the above.
