Junta sets up 24-hour complaint hotline for foreigners

Farang, you gotta problem? Junta chief Gen. Prayuth Chan-ocha wants to hear them!

The prime minister’s office today unveiled a new hotline for foreigners to file complaints directly with the junta to “make lives in Thailand trouble-free for foreigners,” according to the announcement.

Foreigners can call hotline 1111 at any time day or night  to lodge complaints about anything from immigration issues to paying their taxes in “the latest effort of the government and the National Council for Peace and Order to extend assistance to foreigners living in and visiting the kingdom.”

The hotline will be staffed by operators who can speak English, Japanese and Chinese.

Emergency situations should still be reported to the Tourist Police Division at hotline 1155.
