Passengers on a busy Bangkok skytrain yesterday had to huddle together to stay dry when a carriage roof began leaking — once again. Witnesses (and certain Coconuts editors) speculated that the indoor downpour may have been the heaviest one yet.

On Facebook, meanwhile, scorn was raining on the BTS courtesy of outraged netizens who had seen an uploaded video of the waterfall-like leakage, which, while not time-stamped, appeared likely to have taken place amid the heavy rainfall that hit Bangkok yesterday.

“I’m shocked to encounter this personally,” he writes. “It just suddenly started pouring out of nowhere! It’s still drizzling along with the rhythms of the train.”

Less than 20 hours after publishing, the video had received almost 200,000 views.

“Wow the BTS started incorporating 4D environmental simulations?” joked one commenter.

While the train operator just had 46 shiny new trains delivered to Bangkok earlier this month, the comments suggest optimism for major improvements in service is low.

“The longer it goes on, the worse it gets,” wrote another netizen. “I’m scared about how bad it will get.”

This is the fourth interior train leakage in the past two years, according to Sanook — with the most recent incident occurring less than a month ago.

Stay dry out there, folks.
