A monk decided to enjoy some relaxing time on a bus journey from Loei to Udon Thani on Saturday — and another bus passenger filmed him doing it.
The 18-second clip has gone viral and left netizens angry, confused, amused and — in some cases — wondering if the whole clip was a setup and the subject wasn’t a real monk at all.
The very young looking man in the orange robes seemed to be making no attempt to hide what he was watching, he even kept the sound on loudly and propped his phone on top of his seat.
Towards the end of the clip, the young monk finally turns around and sees that he’s being filmed and has the decency to put the phone in his lap. Thanks, yohm.
It was filmed and shared by Facebook user Wittawat Wonghajuk, who implored, “Help me share this clip. I can’t stand it.”
The public obliged and the clip amassed over 1.5 million views.
