Big P, leader of the hip hop group Thaikoon, has been arrested after police raided his home on Ramintra Road in Bangkok and discovered THB720,000 worth of compressed marijuana last night.

Watcharapol Haklindee, or “Big P,” was sleeping when police stormed his house. He was busted with 1.3 kilograms of special-grade marijuana.

The hip hop singer was charged for producing and possessing category 5 drugs for sale, Post Today reported.

On the same night as the arrest, a raid was carried out at Big P’s family home in Nonthaburi where police found 10 marijuana plants that they suspect were also property of the rapper.

Thaikoon, the self-proclaimed “Los Angeles’ number one Thai hip hop group,” is known for hip hop and R&B hit singles such as “Turp Noi” and “Nar Darn.” The band is based in the U.S.
