Because love knows no boundaries and the internet is awesome, a Korean-Thai couple, both hearing- and speech-impaired, were married Sunday after meeting online and virtually dating for six months by communicating in sign language over video calls.

Darat Sukeebot, 43, from Thailand’s Ayutthaya province and her South Korean lover, Lee Hun Young, 58, wed in a traditional Thai ceremony at the bride’s home—something she had always dreamed of, reported Sanook.

The ceremony began with Khan Mak, or the groom’s parade. After that, the Korean man offered Darat’s family KRW1.6 million (around THB500,000) worth of dowry money to wed his bride.

The wedding ceremony touched the hearts of friends and family.

Darat is already making plans for the future. She will move to South Korea to live with her husband and visit Thailand every three months. The couple wants to have two children.
