Have large stuff to throw away? BMA has a free service for that

Have you been dying to get rid of an ugly couch, outdated table or unused chairs but don’t want to just leave them on the street? Whether it’s furniture or electronics, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) can help you get rid of stuff for free.

Announced via Facebook on Monday, Bangkok Public Relations said you can call your district office to book an appointment, and their staff will come collect your large unwanted items for free.

You can look up the numbers on BMA’s website here (in Thai).

On a side note, some locals commented that they have been asked for THB100 tips and fees. We suggest you confirm with your district that the service is free of charge when you call them up. If not, the Bangkok Public Relations said you can leave complaint via hotline 1555.
