Google Timelapse: Watch Bangkok evolve from 1984-2016

See how Bangkok has changed over the last three decades in this 12-second clip taken from space.

Today, Google Earth released three-decades worth of time-lapse pictures of places across the globe taken from space. The interactive experience lets people observe the planet’s changing surface from 1984 to 2016 via five million images.

Observe the urban area expand from Sukhumvit to the suburbs. In the bottom right corner, you can see Suvarnabhumi Airport being constructed from scratch.
