Paintbar, the studio that lets everyone try their hand at playing Picasso while imbibing booze, and Kraftka, a new Bangkok sneaker startup that lets anyone design their own sneakers or buy designs from well-known artists such as Puck and Archan Nair, have teamed up for a unique event featuring free-flow craft beer and creativity.
Their “sneaker painting party,” is on June 4 at Paintbar. Attendees will be given a white pair of Kraftka’s own canvas hightop sneakers, paint and an empty glass that they can fill and refill with craft beer from Smiling Mad Dog Co.
What people create is up to them. At the end of the night, they leave with the sneakers they painted.
If attendees have an idea of what they want to create, cool. They can also choose from one of Kraftka’s designs. If they need help, Paintbar’s instructors are there to provide assistance.
If they make a mistake, event organizers promise that, “With the type of paint we’re using, it’s easy to just paint over it!”
A ticket costs THB1,990, which includes a pair of sneakers, paint, instruction and free-flow craft beer. Check their website for more information.
