Electric tuk tuk, booze, pool and French boys.
That’s the gist of a party at Ocean Bangkok to send off three French students who will return home from Bangkok in an electric tukขtuk they designed while exchange students at Mahidol University.
To raise funds for their trip and promote their eco-engineering project, students Karen Koulakian, Ludwig Merz and Rémy Fernandes-Dandré will show off the fully electric, solar-powered tuk-tuk they plan to spend 120 days driving across 16 countries from Bangkok to Toulouse, France, to raise awareness about alternative energy.
The dudes are asking for support which you can do by partying with them and entering a lucky draw for prizes.
Entry is THB300 and includes one drink. The lucky draw can be purchased online or at the event.
The money collected will go toward funding their journey, and their progress can be followed on via online at The Pilgreens.

Paywall: You’re outta here, Coconuts stories are free for all
We have removed our paywall on all Coconuts stories. This does not mean the end of COCO+ Membership at all, but the value proposition is changing.
Rather than being a transactional subscription – whereby you pay for access to content – it is now a true membership program – whereby Coconuts stories are free for everyone but super-fans can monetarily support our independent journalism, and get added member benefits.
If you'd like to support Coconuts, you can become a COCO+ Member for as little as US$5 per year. Thank you!
