A stressed man allegedly shot all his four children, aged 3 to 15, early this morning at their home in Trang province after his ex-wife ignored his phone calls last night.
According to a report this afternoon, Trang police are currently surrounding a home in Palian district after the father, identified as Pornchit Youngsatar, 40, allegedly shot his four children while they were sleeping around 2:30am today with a .22 mm gun.
According to the investigation, Pornchit, a construction worker, and his wife got a divorce about five months ago before she moved to work with her aunt in Nakhon Ratchasima province.
Yesterday evening, Pornchit took his four childen, aged 3, 5, 12, and 14 to dinner and tried to call his wife several times but was ignored.
Police fear Pornchit may kill himself as they are still negotiating with the father to turn himself in, Khaosod reported.
