Apparently, a man has been donning an orange motorcycle taxi driver vest and picking up passengers along Sukhumvit Road before stealing their valuables.

The police arrested Narongsak Niemhom, 35, on Monday night after a complaint from an international school student in Ekkamai that her iPhone 6 was snatched by a motosai that picked her up at midday on April 14, reported The Nation.

When officers picked him up at his rented room in Klong Toei, Narongsak admitted the crime and that he trolled Sukhumvit Road looking for other rich-looking fares.

The student that made the report, 17, asked to be taken to Ekkamai BTS station. On arrival, the driver asked to borrow her phone to make a call before fleeing with the pricey handset. He later sold it at a shop in a mall on on Rama IV Road for THB10,000.
