Elmo, the famous puppet from Sesame Street who has been annoyingly referring to himself in the third-person since the 1970s, shared some snapshots from his recent vacation in Thailand with his fans on Facebook.

Elmo loved visiting Bangkok! Elmo tried lots of really yummy foods, like durian, and Elmo went on a river boat ride and saw some really cool places. Elmo even saw The Grand Palace. Elmo can’t wait to come back and visit his new friends in Thailand!” he wrote on Facebook today.

It was unclear who his “new friends” are, but famed Bangkok expat and online commenter Zachary Sullivan said in a comment that he spotted Elmo passed out on a drunken night at 7-Eleven in Nana, the infamous, red-light district.

Elmo is touring the world as a part of Sesame Street’s “Spread Kindness, #ShareTheLaughter” campaign, which aims to promote kindness through the universal language of laughter around the world.

Yesterday, Elmo also posted pictures of himself sightseeing in Manila.
