Four young Brits had the holiday of their lives taken away when they were arrested yesterday, following a series of thefts that included stealing a drone and staying at an expensive villa without paying.

The four tourists were arrested while relaxing at their hotel room in Bophut. Police reportedly found stolen items valued at THB50,000 in their possession. These included a DJI drone, a remote control toy car, a PS4 game, and an iPhone charging cable.

The tourists were identified as Chace Kylen Rudy, 21, Korri Nathaniel George, 27, Hilton Mhasvi, 20, and Saul James Ahmed, 20, according to Bangkok Post.

Police said CCTV captured the tourists stealing at D Games and Toys shop on the island on Sunday. According to the shop’s salesperson, Samrit Jitharn, the foreigners handed him a credit card and walked away with the goods. When he went to the back of the shop to process the payment, the card was declined, T News reported.

As police were making the arrests, a representative from another hotel came forward to say that the Brits previously stayed at his luxury villa and had a meal without paying on Sunday night, at a total cost of THB69,000.

Police said the tourists confessed and were charged for nighttime theft, Khaosod reported.
