Despite arrested suspect, sixth homeless murder victim found in Bueng Kum

A homeless man was found dead of an apparent stabbing on Monday morning in Bangkok’s Bueng Kum neighborhood. He makes the sixth homeless victim in the last several weeks, despite a Myanmar national named Jimmy, 20, having been arrested for four of those killings earlier this month.

Jimmy is suspected of being a serial killer, since those four victims were all bound in the same way. He also bore bloodstains from several of the victims on his clothing.

The latest victim was found naked and bloody with cuts in his head and blood on his face. He was in front of an unused shophouse on Navamin Soi 92 Road.

Nearby was a pile of clothes thought to Clothes believed to be the victims and they still had THB240 in the pocket, reported Bangkok Post.

A woman who lived in the neighborhood, Duangporn Surattananthaluk, 45, had seen the victim in the area for the last five months. He said that the man likely had mental health issues, from what she had seen.

She said that people in the area, including herself, had often given him food or money. She did not think the man was a threat to others.

Jimmy, the suspect for four of the murders, denied charges against him despite DNA evidence linking him to the victims. He was taken into custody in Pathum Thani and was in the country illegally. Police said that he had ridden a bicycle from Tak to Bangkok.
