Crash survivor believes amulets saved him from plunging into abyss

A Kanchanaburi man believes his amulets saved his life after his car almost plunged 30 meters from the side of a road.

Due to rain and slippery roads yesterday morning, Banjong Rakchart accidentally drove his Toyota off a Tub Tao mountain road in Kanchanaburi province and came meters away from falling 30 meters into a roadside abyss.

The pit is 30 meters deep; however, the vehicle came to a stop just five meters below the rail.

The car was severely damaged but Bangjong miraculously survived without any injuries.

Banjong says he is thankful for his two Buddha images “Phra Puttha Rattana Kiri Sri Sawad,” which slid into his lap as the car began overturning down the hill.

After the news spread, many villagers went to seek the sacred amulet for themselves, Thairath reported.
