A woman from Ecuador was caught at Suvarnabhumi International Airport on Monday evening when officers searched her bags and found skin products mixed with cocaine.
After getting a tip that a tourist would be bringing in drugs on an evening flight, officers were waiting at arrivals looking for likely suspects.
The woman, 55, was alone and, while it hasn’t been revealed how she called attention to herself, the officers unearthed seven tubs of cream laced with drugs and weighing about 2.3 kilograms, reported Thai PBS.
The cream tested positive for coke and the woman was arrested. She confessed that she was delivering the cream to a man from Russia, who would be waiting for her at a hotel in Bangna.
There’s no explanation how the Russian man had planned to extract the cocaine from the skin product. But we’re certainly interested.
