A 35-year-old man was arrested yesterday after he shot his wife to death in front of their small children and escaped to his mistress’s home in Nonthaburi.
Eakkachai Chawarid was charged with murder and possessing a gun without a permit, after firing a gunshot that killed his wife, Sudathip Pangsorn, on Tuesday, after the couple had an argument over him cheating with many women, Sanook reported.
According to police, Eakkachai, who drove a motorcycle-taxi for a living, confessed to killing his wife after a fight escalated. Then she dumped all his belongings outside their house and yelled: “You go ahead and leave. I will find a new husband to live with me. I’m not begging you to stay anymore.”
Eakkachai admitted to having used yaba before the murder. He killed his wife in front of their children, ages 5 and 6. In fear, the children ran away to their aunt’s home nearby after the incident, according to Khaosod.
The man begged for forgiveness from her relatives.
