While several roads were flooded when Bangkok experienced thunderstorms yesterday, commuters couldn’t escape the rain even after entering the BTS.
Facebook user Ying Photofilter posted a photo of the BTS’s wet floor yesterday. She wrote: “When I got in, the floor was covered with water. Let’s just say the whole train got a cleanup. It’s funny. Never seen anything like this before.”
BTS officials later responded that the water was not caused by a leak in the roof, but was splashed inside the trains when the doors opened at the stops.
