A six-wheeler crashed into several cars on Ekkamai Road at around 1pm today. It was reported that the driver was attempting to escape a police checkpoint when he crashed into multiple vehicles.
Police radio JS100 reported that the crash happened outside Big C Ekkamai, where about 20 cars and motorcycles were involved, the crash blocked the entire street and police had to fire gunshots at the truck to make the driver stop.
Police were able to stop the truck by 1:30pm. Thairath reported that they found narcotics inside the truck, not specifying the type.
Motorists are advised to avoid Ekkamai Road.
