For the second time in two months, a giant, rare whale has been found fins-up.
A four-meter long, 300-kilogram Bryde’s whale was found dead on beach at Hua Hin in Prachuap Khiri Khan province by squid fishermen this morning.
Authorities said it appears to have died three or four days ago, based on the condition of the body. Marine officials are working to determine the cause of death, but last month concluded an even larger whale found floating off Samut Prakan on June 29 was killed by a fisherman’s trawling net.
